As the flowers bloom and the sun shines brighter, there’s no better time for an engagement session at Mobile Botanical Gardens. From the blossoming flowers to the serene garden, there is no better choice for your photography session.
Located in the heart of Mobile Alabama, the Botanical Gardens provided a picturesque backdrop with its vibrant blooms and lush greenery. The garden’s winding paths and serene ponds created an enchanting atmosphere, perfect for capturing intimate moments between Sidney and Breanna. With spring in full swing, the landscape was a tapestry of colors set the tone for a romantic yet fun engagement session.
From the moment they inquired and during their consultation call, it was undeniable that Sidney and Breanna’s chemistry was so special, and they bring the best out of each other. We talked for over an hour, and Breanna told me she wanted a garden engagement session, so I began my search for the perfect spot.
When we arrived to the gardens, they were so excited and a bit nervous as this was their first photo shoot together. It didn’t take long for the nerves to settle and they were able to have fun and enjoy being in front of the camera. Most couples take a few minutes to warm up, so if you are a bit nervous or shy, don’t worry!

The gardens are filled with so many pockets of perfect backdrops to capture your connection and enjoy the scenery, AND have fun. Having fun is key to a great session, and whatever you need I got it. Whether its playing your favorite musical or song on the radio. If you want to frollick around the fields or sit and watch the sunrise and sunset, I’ll be sure to showcase your love in an authentic and romantic way, and ensure you have fun.
As they strolled through the gardens, Sidney and Breanna shared snippets of their love story, from their first date to their exciting engagement. Both of them are University of Alabama fans and talked non-stop about the upcoming season, which made their session even more fun since I am a huge college football fan as well(Miami Hurricanes). These moments made the session even more special, allowing them to fully embrace this moment together.

When Breanna and I were talking about their engagement session, she mentioned she is a bit of a “bookie” and wanted to include reading into their session. I wasn’t sure how I’d include books in a natural way, but I had a few ideas swirling around. As we were walking around, we found this perfect spot and I knew this is it. So, Breanna and Sidney sat down, read a few chapters together and my idea was brought to life. Breanna said, “I feel like Belle”, and that made my heart flutter.

They opted to do a quick outfit change towards the end of their session. If your engagement session is more than an hour, I recommend one outfit change. Your second outfit can be formal or casual, whatever you are most confident in and what brings out your personality as a couple. Neutrals with one solid color, or a soft print nothing too bold, is what I recommend, Colors like red and orange do not photograph well.

We concluded their engagement session along the outskirts of the gardens and as we were leaving we saw a few visitors arriving. If you plan to have your engagement session here, I highly recommend arriving at opening to avoid crowds and to have the gardens to yourself.
As their wedding day approaches, Sidney and Breanna’s engagement session has set the tone for a celebration filled with love, laughter, and joy. I am so excited to be along this journey with them, and can not wait for their wedding day in Foley Alabama.
