When it comes to iconic settings for a romantic couples session, few places can rival the grandeur and historical significance of the Lincoln Memorial. Nestled on the western end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C., this majestic monument not only pays tribute to one of America’s greatest presidents but also provides a breathtaking backdrop for a couples photo session filled with love and laughter.
Alex and Marcus are transplants from Boston living in DC due to Marcus being in the military, and are truly thriving. Alex works as a Administrative Manager at the George Washington University Hospital, and Marcus is in the Old Guard stationed at Fort Meyer inside of Arlington National Cemetery. They love living in DC and taking advantage of all that DC has to offer.
They really enjoy going to museums, walking around the Wharf and stopping by the Dog Tag bakery in the Georgetown neighborhood.
Despite the clouds, Alex and Marcus were all smiles. They have been married for two years and are so in love. We walked along the Reflection Pool and around the marble steps surrounding the Lincoln Memorial, and had the place to ourselves which is so rare.
Seeing them together was so sweet and I truly enjoyed our session together. Taking the time together to schedule a couples session is something I always recommend. Whether you have been dating for a few months, engaged, married for 25 years, taking the time to create memories with your partner is so important, and helps keep the spice alive.
If you are wanting to create special memories with your partner and have the best time, I would love to meet and work with you!
