Mariah and David’s love story is special and unique, and their enchanting engagement session amidst the lush gardens of the National Cathedral in Washington DC is a testament to the magic of love and deep connection.
Despite the overcast weather, the connection between Mariah and David was so evident and so sweet to witness. Surrounded by towering trees and vibrant blooms, their connection and admiration for each other was beaming. Mariah and David met in their hometown in Massachusetts and their first date was a picnic in a garden, so they wanted to recreate their first date. So special!
When I asked Mariah what her vision was for her and David’s engagement session she immediately told me a garden with stone, and the National Cathedral came to mind, and she was instantly in love with the idea.
Incorporating special places and items in your engagement session is one of many recommendations I give to each couple. When you incorporate what is most special to you your session is much more personal and sentimental. This can be a location, an activity like biking or rowing, or a hobby you both enjoy. Mariah, radiant in a flowing white dress that mirrored the beauty of the garden, and David, dapper in a crisp blue suit, shared stolen glances and tender touches as they strolled hand in hand along the winding paths. Every step seemed to lead them closer to their future together, each moment filled with anticipation and joy. They laughed and danced non-stop, and had so much fun!
The National Cathedral provided a stunning backdrop for their love story, and resembled what their wedding will be in October 2025. They have chosen to get married in Rome Italy and I could not be more excited to travel to Italy and celebrate their special day with them and their loved ones! Traveling to destinations worldwide for weddings is one of the greatest joys in life! Being able to create priceless, timeless and heartfelt images throughout your journey together is such an honor!
