As a destination wedding photographer, I have traveled to many beautiful locations documenting so many love stories that have been etched into my heart and memory, and Austin in one of my favorite cities in the United States. The rich culture, food scene and atmosphere is unlike any other.
During one of my trips to Austin Texas, I had the privilege of photographing Franklin, a upcoming graduate of the University of Texas Austin Campus. The timing worked out perfectly and I was so excited to hear her vision for her portrait session.
From her inquiry, I KNEW this session was going to be fun. When we had our consultation call, her personality shined through the phone and we instantly connected over our love of animals and country music. She had a vision of a beautiful yellow(her favorite color) dress in a field and gave me the creative freedom for the rest.
Throughout Austin and the outskirts of town there are many beautiful parks and landscapes, but one of my favorite in the Austin area is High Pointe Estate.

The beautiful landscape and exterior laid the foundation for a beautiful backdrop for Franklin’s session. While the venue is primarily a wedding venue, they do book events, and we were lucky enough to use their property for our outdoor portrait session.
Franklin’s beautiful dress came from Styled Gowns(www.instagram.com/styled.gowns) and it was truly a match made in heaven. The beautiful and rich yellow was stunning and complimented her natural beauty.
